MOROCCO DESERT ADVENTURE
The 7-Day Morocco Sahara Experience is a captivating journey that takes you on a round trip from Marrakech, immersing you in Morocco’s culture, landscapes, and the Sahara Desert. On the way back, explore Ouarzazate’s film studios before returning to Marrakech for a final day of sightseeing and shopping. Day 1: RRIVAL IN MARRAKECH
Depending on your arrival time, spend the day relaxing or exploring this vibrant city.
Visit the Jemaa el-Fnaa Square: Experience the bustling souks, street food, performers, and local culture.
Wander through the winding alleys and shop for souvenirs.
Visit the Koutoubia Mosque and Bahia Palace for a touch of history.
Stay in a traditional riad or a comfortable hotel in Marrakech.
Day 2: MARRAKECH TO AIT BENHADDOU
Travel from Marrakech to Ait Benhaddou. Along the way, pass through the scenic High Atlas Mountains, with beautiful landscapes and Berber villages.
Visit Ait Benhaddou- A UNESCO World Heritage Site and a famous location for films like Gladiator. Explore the old kasbah and learn about its history.
Explore the Ounila Valley and enjoy stunning views of the mountains and valleys.
Stay in a local guesthouse or hotel near Ait Benhaddou.
Day 3: AIT BENHADDOU TO MERZOUGA (Sahara Desert)
Travel from Ait Benhaddou to Merzouga. This day involves driving through the dramatic landscapes of the Draa Valley and the Ziz Valley, passing by oases, Berber villages, and the vast desert landscape.
Arrive in Merzouga- The gateway to the Sahara Desert.
After arriving in Merzouga, take a camel ride into the Sahara to witness the magnificent Erg Chebbi Dunes. Spend the night at a luxury desert camp under the stars.
Overnight in a desert camp (luxury or standard, depending on your preference) with traditional Berber tents, music, and a delicious Moroccan dinner.
Day 4: MERZOUGA ( Sahara Desert Adventure)
Experience the beauty of the Sahara desert as the sun rises over the sand dunes.
Enjoy some time exploring the vast dunes on foot or by camel, experiencing the silence and beauty of the desert.
After returning from the dunes, head to the nearby village- like Khamlia- to meet the local Berber people.
After your desert adventure, take a camel ride back to the village.
Overnight in Merzouga or return to a guesthouse in nearby Rissani for a more comfortable night.
Day 5: MERZOUGA TO DADES VALLEY
Travel from Merzouga to Dades Valley. You will pass through the Todra Gorge, a striking canyon surrounded by limestone cliffs.
Hike through the Todra Gorge or simply enjoy the views from the base of the cliffs.
Drive along the Dades Valley: Admire the dramatic scenery, including lush palm groves and ancient kasbahs.
Overnight at a hotel or guesthouse in the Dades Valley, with views of the Atlas Mountains.
Day 6: DADES VALLEY TO OUARZAZATE TO MARRAKECH
On the way back to Marrakech, stop in Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Morocco.” Visit the Atlas Film Studios, where movies like Lawrence of Arabia and The Mummy were filmed. You can also visit the Taourirt Kasbah.
Drive to Marrakech. Enjoy the scenic journey through the High Atlas Mountains and Berber villages.
After returning to Marrakech, spend the evening relaxing or enjoying a final stroll through the city.
Overnight in a riad or hotel in Marrakech.
Day 7: DEPARTURE FROM MARRAKECH
Free time for last minute shopping or sightseeing, like visiting the Majorelle Garden or Saadian Tombs.
Transfer to the airport for your departure.
